God-given gift

Has God blessed you with a talent or skill that seems to be a "no-brainer?" This talent or skill just comes so naturally that you thought everyone had "it?"

Maybe it's sales?
Perhaps leading.
Are you a natural presenter?
Does your mind easily tackle technical problems?
Do you have the ability to look at a situation and quickly ascertain the solution?

Regardless of what your natural God-given talent or skill is...you have the opportunity and RESPONSIBILITY to use that for Him!  Discovering what this natural talent or skill is within you can be as easy as these two steps:

  1. Observe - be aware of what you do that people are "amazed" at - how you do that so easily
  2. Ask your close friends, family, or colleagues. I've found the friends and colleagues will pick up on these much quicker than family as they've lived with you for so long that they don't see it as a talent that sets you apart.
Once you discover what that is - find a new way to utilize that talent for God.  As a leader or manager - you have a very distinct opportunity to help those you lead discover their unique gift. Once you, together, have discovered it...then you can find ways for your team member to incorporate it into their work. Doing this will create an engaged, successful, and happy team member.

Don't be discouraged - you have one. Everyone does! He made each of us unique and gave you special gifts and talents. Your make-up is an original.

Be encouraged!
